Breeding pets is a good way to bring in a lot of money depending on what type of pet you are going to breed. For teens the easiest pets to breed are fish, reptiles and small mammals such as Guinea pigs, mice and hamsters. If you do decide to become a breeder you might have to get a breeding license which won't be to hard. All you have to do is go to the court house in your town and apply for one. One of the easiest reptiles to breed (if your into reptiles) is the bearded dragon. They cost anywhere from 60 dollars to 400 dollars depending on their size color and many other factors. But if you want to own a really cool pet and make some money off of it too a bearded dragon is the way to go I have one myself and they are very easy and tame pets to own. For reptiles you'll need an incubator for when the reptile lays the eggs. You can make one or buy one really cheap. Look around before you buy one because you might be able to pick up a used one for a good price. You'll also need maybe 3-5 cages and probably more in the future if you decide to get serious with the breeding business. Once you have all the supplies you need it will be really easy to start bringing in some cash. Here are some websites that I use and are very reliable for reptile supplies. I am also working on another blog all about reptile care and breeding so keep checking back for more info. http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/cat/expand/249/category.web http://www.nyworms.com/crickets.htm http://www.bigappleherp.com/
